A quick and easy meal for weeknight dinner, these pork chops can be marinated in advance and cooked up in a skillet in 20 min.
3.19 lbs chops
1/3 c maple syrup
1/2 tsp Himalayan pink salt, or 1/4 tsp kosher salt
1/3 c Oyster sauce
5 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
1/4 cup soy sauce
Fresh ground peppercorns
Green Chili Sauce
Mix all the ingredients together, and marinade the pork chops for 3 hours in fridge. If you are looking for a quick dinner, prepare this in the morning or the night before.
Take the pork chops out of the fridge and grill it to an internal temperature of 71 C or 160 F, about 10 minutes each side, depending on the thickness of your chops. While the chops are cooking, take the marinade and cook it in a sauce pan, reducing it by 1/2. If you let it go too long because you are busy taking pictures and find it too thick, you can always add water. ;)
Let the pork chops rest 3 minutes and brush with the cooked glaze. Garnish with shiso leaves and purple basil. Serve with Green Chili Sauce.
