Mussels are quick, easy and impressive - perfect for when you are planning to have guests over.  This recipe serves 6 people for a main course, or 10-12 people for appetizers.
Ingredients
  • 2 boxes of mussels
  • 9 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 sticks butter (1/2 lb, or 1/2 cup)
  • 1 tbsp Spicy Pineapple Sauce
  • 2 tsp Roasted Garlic and Peppers Seasoning
  • 1 brick of cheese (900g)
  • 60g Prosciutto
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Preheat oven to 375. Cover a tray with aluminum foil, and lay out the mussels on the tray.

Mix together the garlic, butter, Spicy Pineapple Sauce, and Roasted Garlic Seasoning, and half the parsley . Spoon the mixture on the mussels, and sprinkle the cheese and prosciutto on top.

This literally made my mouth water! I love baked mussels! I also do baked mussels, but the toppings that I put on top are Bechamel sauce with cheese. Bechamel sauce is a mixture of butter, flour and milk. I cook it in a saucepan. And when everything is incorporated I take it out of the flame and that's when I put the cheese on it. After that I put it on top of my mussels and bake them. But now, I'll try to add some garlic on it! :)
