Looking for a quick weeknight dinner, or an easy to make appetizer for your soiree? These meatballs take a half hour to prepare and another half hour to cook.
Ingredients - Feeds 5-6 people
  • 2 lbs Ground Pork
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 Yellow onion, diced
  • 2-3 stalks of green onion
  • 1 small red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper to taste - Do not taste raw pork mixture - please see instructions for details.

Mix all of the ingredients together with your hands. We recommend you wear gloves if you want less mess to clean up.

To Adjust the seasonings: Do not eat raw pork. Fry a teaspoon of the mixture in a skillet until cooked through. Taste the cooked meatball and adjust seasonings.

To form the meatballs, pick the mixture up with one hand and have a spoon in the other hand.  Squeeze the mixture through the opening made by your index finger and thumb. Scoop it up with the spoon to make the ball shape. Put the meatball on a greased tray.

Put the tray on the middle rack of the oven at 250 C (400 F) until golden brown AND the internal temperature reaches 72 C (160 F). This should be about 30 minutes depending on your oven and the weather.

You can serve these on bamboo skewers, in soup, or singly on a spoon as an amuse bouche.

Thank you for a very detailed instructions for this recipe! I love how you included pictures for every step so that it would be easier to follow once your readers cook it. I love meatballs very much because I love meat. I do not think I have ever eaten a meal without meat. I just find that eating meat gives me a lot of strength and it helps me to build my muscle so I always try to eat meat as much as I can.

Meatballs are considered as my mother's special recipe. My mom usually just fry it and then put it on a very delicate sauce. She has this special tomato sauce that she always make every time we need some sauce. I will never forget the reaction we had when we first tasted it. I figuratively cried my heart out because it was so amazing! Anyway, the reason why I have mentioned this is because I will ask my mom to put those meatballs on a stick as well. I am sure my sisters will feel so excited about this.
